Argyle Sweaters
The argyle style has been around for practically forever, and based on the looks of it, it won’t be gone for a while. This pattern consists of diamonds diagonally aligned in a checkerboard arrangement.
Why do so many like this pattern? It’s simple yet sophisticated. It can add a unique touch to a sweater to give it a bit more color and style. It can be formal enough for a business meeting when worn under a suit jacket or blazer. Meanwhile, you can find it on a casual or formal date where it gives off a stylish and sexy appeal while sending off a fun but serious-when-necessary feeling that attracts many women. At the same time, if you want to just wear it on a casual night out with some friends, that is completely fine too.
Many stores are beginning to carry the argyle style due to its heightened popularity, but a few of the stores that almost ALWAYS carry it include Banana Republic and J. Crew. I really like the J. Crew cashmere argyle sweaters because they are incredibly soft to touch. They are not 100% cashmere, but they are still warm and comfy enough to pass off, so they are a personal favorite of mine. Before you buy it, however, you should make a trip to the store and feel the material for yourself as to whether or not you would like it. Some people are very sensitive to the fabric of their clothing, and some might find blended cashmere to be either itchy or uncomfortable.
I also found this website called the Argyle Aisle which is like an eBay site but ONLY for argyle items. Check it out! It offers a lot of items, not just men’s sweaters.
